Q: Um, is this newsletter going out a little late this year?

A: Great question, thanks for asking! Many of you know that the Board of Directors don't sleep on race weekend. Since we love you guys and work on a volunteer basis, it's back to work Monday morning. This year, we got caught in a bunch of overtime, the loss of a beloved pet cat named Copper, and the distractions of one little beautiful newborn named Vivian. So, yeah. Cue The Human League's "I'm Only Human".

Q: The Train...

A: It's not really supposed to be running on Sunday, but it does. Stupid trains! We apologize, but as it went three times everyone who ran the 10k or Half was impacted. And both of our friendly race directors' stomachs dropped when the gates went down. We did say this race can sometimes be considered part obstacle course, and this is definitely one of the obstacles. Times were fast despite the interruption, and we truly apologize. I guess we'll just have to say the train is part of the race's "quirky charm", like we're  Twin Peaks or Mayberry or something (yeah, that's the ticket). If anyone is able to secure a $10M government grant for a trestle or overpass, please email City Manager Wanda Darrow  - wdarrow@pottervillemi.org- us racers and the residents of Potterville as a whole would be eternally grateful.

Q: Who are You Guys?

A: We're part of the Pville Pacers, a group that likes to run and work for good causes. We work hard for you guys on a shoestring budget, we love you for attending, and we hope you join us next year on Sunday, March 13th, 2016.

Thanks again!

If You Didn't Know-We Love Our Runners (We Really Do!)

It's Spring. April actually! Your Summer and Fall race schedule is now loaded up. You got some early training in at The Blarney Stone. Great Job!
This 2nd year we had close to 300 runners cross the finish line- so we definitely grew as compared to 225 from last year!  We had runners as far away as Hawaii, Ohio, and Indiana come join us! We'd like to think our idea to get people out and moving before the first day of Spring, coupled with some St. Patty's Day festivities is becoming something of a tradition- but we also know the improved weather had a lot to do with it. Let us tell you, the weather was a real nail-biter for us all as March is so unpredictable!  Whatever the case, we are so happy to have had you join us! We told you it would not be easy, and still you accepted the challenge and showed up! You did more in the morning of Sunday, March 15th than most of your peers did all week, plus you still got a beer afterwards if you were 21! Work hard, play hard.
