The Blarney Stone 5k/10k/Half Marathon - Post Race Recap!
You Did It! You Really Did!
You Ran to Kiss the Rock!
Nothing else can test your limits like a race in the freezing temperatures in Michigan! When we said you had to be tough to do this, we meant it! Unseasonable cold temperatures averaged 16 deg that day! Yes, it was cold! FROZEN cold! (Seriously, it was 40 deg two days later- and 78 deg in 2012- ugh!) And 224 of you FINISHED! Great job!

A little Eaglemonk Pub & Brewery craft beer tastings, as well as some rootbeer, brownies, cookies, corn bread and chili afterwards helped to get the post-race party started. Many of you came dressed in some amazing St. Patty's costumes!

A million thanks to our many volunteers who braved the cold for several grueling hours! Also the city of Potterville, including the Potterville Fire Dept. for their support and help!

Also, our amazing sponsors, please check them out: without them this would not have been possible!

Results are posted here:

Please find your race day photos- all 1,400 of them stored here, courtesy of Canvas Life Photography:

We are in the process of mailing some of our later entrants their medals and/or T-shirts, as well as some items that got lost. Also, please check your results- if you found that you placed in your age group, yet did not pick up your award at the table, please get in touch so that we may send you your extra special bling!

If we haven't formally been in touch and you would like to verify your information, please feel free to email us:

We are very pleased to announce that we were able to drop off a check of $1,170 to the Mid-Michigan Cat Rescue !! We doubly surpassed our goals for our first year!!  Another donation of $750 was made to the Potterville Parks fund, as well as $250 to the amazing Potterville Fire Dept., which graciously lent much help to our race! We could not have done it without you- thank you for your support towards helping rescue animals, and promoting our parks system! Our racers, volunteers and sponsors ROCK!

We have some ideas for next year, not the least of which is warmer temps! Thank you for joining our inaugural race, and being patient with some snafus that we have fixes in the works for (registration/packet pickup lines, issues with the 10k turn, parking). We are working on providing you with a bigger and better race and post-race festival next year! More food! More music and festivities! A finished & warmer pavilion! Fire pits and s'mores?! Bigger turnaround signs!
